The "lining-type geothermal air conditioning system using energy piles," which is being jointly researched by group company Vertex Co., Ltd. and Fukui University, has been adopted as the air conditioning system for a demonstration experiment at the Fukui University Faculty of Engineering 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall.

This system uses geothermal heat to air-condition buildings, and is characterized by being environmentally friendly and highly energy efficient.
A lining material is inserted into the hollow space of the foundation piles, water is stored inside, and this water is used as a heat carrier to achieve air conditioning that utilizes geothermal heat.
The introduction of this system is expected to collect empirical data such as a building's power consumption and underground temperature, contributing to the development of geothermal energy utilization.

On November 11, 2024, the unveiling ceremony for the "Fukui University Faculty of Engineering 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall" was held.
This memorial hall was planned and constructed as part of the 100th anniversary project of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Fukui, and will be used for various purposes, including as a 100th anniversary hall, a self-study space for students, and a meeting space for collaborative research. It will also serve as a symbolic facility that looks back on the history and achievements of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Fukui, and aims for its development into the future.
